Richardson 112: the default
The 112 wins on color range (112 colorways), on XL availability, and on how consistently it decorates. The front panels are a touch taller and wider than the 6606, so wide logos and 3 in patches sit comfortably. It is stocked deep at SanMar Reno, which matters when you need 500 of one color. Pick it when the hat is a product or a long-running company cap.
YP Classics 6606: the value pick
The 6606 is $2.40 cheaper per hat and looks nearly identical to the 112 at arm's length. The crown is slightly shorter. For front logos up to about 3 in wide and for most patches, it does the job. Pick it for events, giveaways, staff hats and shelf merch where a lower price per hat matters more than XL sizing.
Richardson 115: the low-profile fit
The 115 is a different shape, not a different price tier. Lower crown, smaller fit, same mesh back. Crews with a lot of smaller heads, front-desk staff and anyone who finds the 112 boxy will prefer it. Logos size about 15 percent smaller. Pick it alongside 112s so everyone on the crew gets a hat that fits.
How each decorates
- Embroidery: all three take a front logo up to 6,000 stitches at the standard price. The 115 needs a slightly smaller logo.
- Leather patch: all three take a glued or sewn patch. Up to about 3 in wide on the 112 and 6606; about 2.75 in on the 115.
- 3D puff: works on the 112 and 6606 structured fronts; quoted per job.
Our recommendation
If you are unsure, order the 112. If the budget is the deciding factor and you do not need XL, order the 6606. Add 115s if the crew includes people who have complained about hat fit before. Full specs on each product page: Richardson 112, YP 6606, Richardson 115.
Questions
Can I mix 112s and 6606s in one order?
Yes. Same logo on both means the total quantity sets the decoration tier. Each style gets its own blank price.
Is the 6606 lower quality than the 112?
It is a well-made hat at a lower price. The differences are crown height, color range and XL availability, not durability.
